Overview Adjunct/Per Course Faculty, Sociology, Anthropology and Gerontology (Spring 2026). Missouri State University seeks to establish a pool of qualified candidates for adjunct/per-course teaching in Sociology, Anthropology and Gerontology for Spring 2026. Position Information Position Title: Adjunct/Per Course Faculty, Sociology, Anthropology and Gerontology (Spring 2026) Work Location: Springfield Campus Department: Sociology, Anthropology and Gerontology Sponsorship Information: Applicants must be currently authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. Term: Spring Semester (per course faculty only) Begin Date - Spring Term: 01/12/2026 Maximum credit hours: 12 Credit Hours per 12 Month Period – Springfield Campus Description of Primary Duties Teach sections of introductory General Education courses of Sociology, Anthropology or Gerontology, submit grades by due dates, and support department and university goals and mission. Employee reports to the Department Head. Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Per Course Faculty should possess a master's degree or the equivalent professional experience in a field determined acceptable by the Dean. Additional Qualifications A sample syllabus will be shared to facilitate course preparation. Missouri State uses the learning management system Brightspace (D2L). Applicant will be required to use Brightspace D2L to post all course materials, assignments, and grades as well as to establish virtual office hours to meet with students as needed.
