Job Description

We're seeking highly dependable and professional Armed Transit Security Officers to protect the RTD transit system across the Denver metro area. In this role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding passengers, employees, and property throughout bus routes, light rail stations, and major transit hubs.

Pay Rate: $28.15 per hour
Schedule: Overnight & Weekend Focus
Location: Denver

Qualifications: Prior Law Enforcement, Military (Honorable Discharge), or Corrections experience. These may be substituted with 7 years of unarmed security experience , 3 years of armed security experience , or 60 college credit units .

Success in this role requires the ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and respond quickly to emerging situations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills, reliable attendance, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
