COCOZZA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our Project Managers and Senior Project Managers across multiple restaurant projects. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, detail oriented, eager to learn and excited to grow within a high performing team. As an APM, you will help move projects through our Budget/Lease/Design/Build system, assisting with material procurement, documentation, communication and change order management. You will play a critical role in keeping projects aligned, organized and moving forward. If you enjoy solving problems, supporting a team and taking ownership of the details that keep a project running smoothly, you’ll do well here. Responsibilities • Assist PMs with day to day project coordination and administrative support • Prepare, track and process purchase orders, submittals and material deliveries • Manage change order documentation, pricing requests and approval workflows • Maintain organized project files, drawings, logs and digital records • Support schedule updates, budget tracking and weekly project reporting • Communicate professionally with clients, designers, landlords and subcontractors • Assist with permit applications, inspections and DOB-related coordination • Help prepare meeting agendas, notes, action items and follow ups • Visit job sites to support PMs with field verification, documentation and punch list items • Uphold COCOZZA’s hospitality mindset in all interactions • Bring a solutions oriented attitude and anticipate needs before they become issues Qualifications • 3 to 5 years experience in construction, architecture, engineering or project administration • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with accuracy • Familiarity with construction documents and workflows is a plus • Comfortable with project management software and cloud-based tools • Clear communicator with a friendly, professional demeanor • Eagerness to learn COCOZZA’s Budget/Lease/Design/Build methodology and grow into a PM role • A positive, dependable, team-oriented attitude Who Thrives as an APM • People who love being the steady hand behind the scenes • Learners who want a path to becoming a PM • Professionals who value clarity, organization and follow through • Team players who bring hospitality to construction • Individuals who take pride in doing things the right way If you want to grow your career, learn a proven system and help build the restaurants that define New York City’s dining culture, we’d love to meet you.
