Comprised of construction managers, engineers, and architects, MB BIM utilizes design, software, and construction coordination to offer BIM, VDC, and construction technology consulting services. MB BIM Solutions executes work on high-profile large commercial construction projects for GH Phipps, specialty subcontractors and general contractors throughout the Rocky Mountain region and beyond.

• Fabrication modeling and shop drawings for various building systems (rebar, cast in place concrete, framing, and MEP systems)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read, interpret, and understand architectural, structural, and MEP design drawings
• Build accurate, detailed, and data-rich Revit models to a fabrication level of detail for various scopes of work
• Develop Revit and Navisworks skillset
• Understand construction operations and techniques (means and methods) used in the field
• Coordinate drawings and models from various trades and disciplines and use BIM to identify, coordinate, and resolve construction conflicts
• Create drawings from fabrication level models from various trades to increase field productivity
• Use BIM to help general contractors to solve project-specific constructability issues
• Create 4D construction sequencing simulations
• Support general contractor project pursuits with creative use of models and animations within TwinMotion, SketchUp, drone photogrammetry, and virtual reality
• Support preconstruction departments by using BIM for site logistics and model-based quantity take-offs
• Use Navisworks to support the BIM coordination process between the MEFP trades and the design models
• Perform reality capture such as drone photogrammetry, laser scanning, and 360 photo capture on project sites
• Utilize point clouds from 3D laser scans and drone photogrammetry to document and coordinate as-built conditions
• Contribute to the implementation of new BIM processes and services for general contractors and trade subcontractors
• Help train construction team members in the use of models
• Travel to job sites, meetings and client locations as needed in support of employees, clients, project team, etc.

EDUCATION

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in, Virtual Design Construction, Building Information Modeling, Construction Management, Engineering or related field

EXPERIENCE

3 months related industry preferred but not required

SKILLS

• General familiarity with plan and specification reading
• Understanding of basic construction means and methods
• Beginner or intermediate knowledge of and experience in Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM software
• Strong software and general computer knowledge, and an ability to quickly learn new software

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Verifiable work references demonstrating exceptional accomplishments, leadership, and communication skills
• Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens

• All positions at GH Phipps are considered safety sensitive. Position may be required to visit a construction site at any time.
• In person, regular attendance required
