If you’ve provided care for individuals with limited mobility, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, or advanced care needs—and you find fulfillment in these important moments—we want to meet you. We offer a supportive work culture, reliable hours, and an opportunity to use your skills where they matter most: during quiet nights when clients and families need peace of mind the most. Location: Santa Ana, CA Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM or 8 PM – 8 AM What You’ll Be Doing:You’ll be matched with clients whose care needs may include: Personal Care & Support * Overnight safety checks and bed repositioning * Incontinence care, toileting assistance, or bedside commode use * Transferring with gait belts, Hoyer lifts, or slide boards (where applicable) * Passive range of motion and mobility exercises * Assistance with morning hygiene, grooming, and dressing Dementia & Advanced Care * Supporting clients with memory loss, sundowning, or confusion * Offering calm companionship and emotional reassurance overnight * Following established care plans for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, or stroke recovery * Monitoring for safety risks such as wandering, falls, or agitation Companion-Based Tasks * Light tidying during the night (laundry, dishes, organizing) * Preparing light breakfast or medication reminders as the morning begins * Providing peaceful, quiet overnight presence and peace of mind Who We’re Looking For:We’re seeking skilled caregivers who feel called to care—especially in the hours when others rest. You’re a good fit if you: * Have experience supporting individuals who are bed-bound, immobile, or managing late-stage dementia * Feel confident with assistive devices (gait belts, Hoyer lifts, transfer boards, etc.) * Are calm, dependable, and proactive—able to manage a quiet shift with professionalism and grace * Communicate clearly and understand the importance of detailed overnight reporting Caregiver Requirements: * Must be at least 18 years old * High school diploma or GED required * 1 year of caregiving experience preferred in an agency, assisted living facility and other similar professional settings. * Able to lift up to 50 pounds * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation * Must pass a background check and drug screening * Strong communication, patience, and dependability Why Work With Senior Helpers – South Orange County?
