About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Medical Officer for its Cardiovascular Service Line. The successful candidate will be the accountable clinical executive for all cardiovascular services, with a focus on short and long-term strategic planning, and leading a team of physicians and providers to enhance clinical, operational, and financial performance. This role requires a physician leader with a part-time clinical practice, who is expected to have a collaborative orientation, strong communication, and leadership skills, and be respected by colleagues and regional leadership. The Chief Medical Officer will also have system leadership responsibilities and must be adept at relationship management and interpersonal skills. Applicants for the Chief Medical Officer position must have an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, completed an accredited residency program, and a cardiovascular-focused subspecialty fellowship, with board certification in a relevant subspecialty. A medical license in the state of practice is essential. Preferred qualifications include additional training in leadership, experience in leading clinicians through change, executive-level communication skills, and an advanced degree in healthcare management. The ideal candidate will have a motivating personality, be able to manage competing priorities, and deadlines, and possess excellent planning, organizational, and technical acumen.
