Candidate requirements
Job specification - Support, supervise, and evaluate new clinical staff during their first 90 to 180 days to ensure smooth integration and professional growth.
- Act within the nurse-patient, nurse-nurse, and nurse-system spheres to enhance patient outcomes and nursing practice.
- Facilitate a multi-disciplinary and collaborative approach in the delivery of healthcare within a specialized clinical setting.
- Promote excellence in nursing care by implementing clinical standards of practice and establishing competency benchmarks for nursing staff.
- Serve as a mentor and leader, guiding nurses in professional development and advanced patient care techniques.
- Evaluate and enhance clinical care processes, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices.
Candidate requirements Required: - Master's Degree from a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- Current certification in specialty area (e.g., CEN, CCRN) upon hire.
- Minimum of 3 years of registered nursing experience in area of specialty.
- At least 2 years of clinical leadership experience.
Preferred: - CNS certification in a specialty area upon hire.
