Your Responsibilities - Executing comprehensive patient evaluations, administering diagnostic tests, and crafting individualized care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues, collaborating with health teams or independently (as credentialing allows)
- Providing education to patients and their families on health promotion, illness prevention, and ongoing management
- Prescribing and facilitating medications and treatments within your scope
- Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic condition management
- Partnering across multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive, holistic patient care
- Documenting with precision in electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Qualifications - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Credentials from an accredited Clinical Nurse Specialist program
Licensure and Required Certifications - Active Clinical Nurse Specialist licensure in Virginia
- National certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or relevant specialty certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure them within 90 days)
