About the Role
We’re seeking a talented and versatile mid-level Copywriter to craft and oversee the written voice behind some of Walmart’s most recognizable private brands. In this role, you’ll bring products to life through impactful, on-brand copy across packaging, PDP (product detail pages), and all other in-store and digital touch points.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and collaborative storyteller with a sharp eye for detail, an instinct for brand-building, and the ability to seamlessly shift between multiple brands and audiences. This role is full-time and based in Bentonville, AR.
Responsibilities
- Create compelling copy for packaging, PDPs, in-store displays, digital campaigns, and brand marketing materials
- Define and maintain brand voice across all touch points, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with brand strategy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, marketing, and product teams to develop copy that enhances visual content and drives consumer engagement
- Oversee and review copy work from external contractors or freelancers, ensuring deliverables meet brand standards
- Lead content strategy for large-scale copy projects, aligning creative execution with overarching brand goals
- Research market trends, competitors, and consumer behavior to inform messaging decisions
- Ensure all deliverables follow brand style guides and elevate each brand’s identity and presence on Walmart.com
- Edit, proofread, and refine copy for grammar, tone, and accuracy, with a meticulous eye for detail
- Work across multiple brands simultaneously , balancing unique voices and strategies for each
What You Bring
- 3–5+ years of copywriting experience, ideally within retail, consumer packaged goods, or e-commerce
- A strong portfolio showcasing brand-building copy across packaging, digital, and marketing channels
- Proven ability to craft concise, engaging, and persuasive copy tailored to specific audiences
- Familiarity with SEO principles and digital marketing best practices
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
- Collaborative mindset and comfort working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field preferred
