Job Description
Load assemblies or component parts into fixtures and adjust welding machines to manually weld assemblies or component parts to produce quality parts.
1st shift - 5am - 1:30pm
2nd shift - 4:00pm - 12:30am
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Able to use small hand tools.
· Locate various assemblies or component parts into fixtures properly to produce quality parts.
· Set and maintain proper welding temperatures, wire feeds and gas setting to produce quality welds.
· Visually inspect all weld requirements for penetration and porosity.
· Familiar with checking fixtures, SPC control charts and tools implemented to ensure quality of parts.
· Proper use of all safety equipment and safety features of machines.
· Housekeeping of immediate area and welding department.
· Communicate with Supervisor on quality problems, equipment problems and other job-related functions.

EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

JOB SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· Knowledgeable of welding techniques and manufacturing processes through prior experience or training programs.
· Able to use MIG welding guns and make adjustments to ensure quality welds.
· Familiar with SPC controls and tools implemented to ensure quality parts.
· Annual recertification required.
