Job Summary:
We are hiring experienced Wash Plant/Equipment Operators for both day and night shifts. In this role, you will operate and maintain our sand washing plant and mine, monitoring equipment, performing daily inspections, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Experience operating dozers and loaders is essential, and you may also handle heavy equipment like skid steers.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for operating wash plant equipment, including screens, pumps, and conveyors, to process raw sand and remove impurities. Adjusting equipment settings to optimize the washing process, conducting daily inspections, and performing routine maintenance are key aspects of the job. You will also monitor water and chemical usage for compliance, maintain accurate production records, and assist with construction projects as needed. Prioritizing safety and adhering to MSHA standards will be crucial.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates should have a mechanical inclination and general knowledge of hand tools, with effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Basic math skills and attention to detail are important, along with the physical ability to lift to 75 lbs. and perform manual tasks. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required, as is comfort in a plant environment with dust and noise.
