Job Description

Bemana is searching for a Generator Technician in the Boston, MA  area. Our client, a family-owned business with over 60 years of experience, is a trusted leader in generator service, sales, and rentals across the Northeast. As a Generator Technician, you’ll be the front line of the operation—diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and repairing standby generator systems. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll travel to customer sites, troubleshoot equipment, and keep critical power systems running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on standby generator systems (8kW–1mW).
• Troubleshoot, perform diagnostic and load-bank testing, and conduct generator start-ups.
• Prepare accurate repair quotes and complete/submitting work orders.
• Participate in an on-call rotating schedule to support customers.
• Maintain a strong safety focus and comply with OSHA 10 standards.

Qualifications

• Background in electrical, mechanical, or engine systems (automotive, trucking, marine, or heavy equipment experience is highly relevant).
• Previous experience working on residential or commercial generators 
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT card.
• Access to your own tools, including multi-meter
