This position is a temp to hire position
Integrity Trade Services is IMMEDIATELY hiring for a Mig Welder in Milwaukee, WI. The company produces glass and stone carriers. A MIG welder with the company is responsible for using welding equipment to join metal parts together, ensuring high-quality, durable, and precise products.
Duties and responsibilities
- Fabrication : Perform MIG welding on components to assemble glass carriers, stone carriers, and other products. Aluminum welding
- Blueprints : Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production documents to determine project specifications.
- Preparation : Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and positioning parts. Use jigs and fixtures to hold and align components accurately before welding.
- Equipment operation : Set up and operate MIG welding equipment, including adjusting settings for amperage, voltage, and wire feed speed.
- Quality control : Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Grind down and re-weld any deficient spots.
- Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment to ensure proper function and safety.
- Safety : Adhere to all company safety procedures and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Teamwork : Communicate with supervisors and other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
Requirements and qualifications
- Experience : Proven experience in MIG welding, preferably in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Technical skills : Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings.
- Physical dexterity : Excellent hand-eye coordination and the physical ability to perform welding tasks in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
- Knowledge : Solid understanding of welding techniques, equipment, and different metals, especially steel.
- Attention to detail : A keen eye for detail to perform precise work and identify any defects.
- Work ethic : Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- An employee that works in Illinois is entitled to accrue and use up to 40 hours of paid leave during a 12 month period or a pro rata number of hours of paid leave under the provisions of the State of Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act. The 12 month accrual period is considered to begin for new employees on the employees first day of employment. An employee is entitled to begin using earned and accrued paid leave time 90 calendar days after commencement of employment. Paid leave under this Act shall accrue at the rate of one hour of paid leave for every 40 hours worked up to 40 hours of paid leave

Eligibility: Active employees with one year of work and during that one year has completed 1,000 hours of service and is at least 21 years of age. Entry dates into the 401(k) are: 1/1 or 7/1 following the one year of service and completing 1,000 hours of work.
The company will match 100% of the first 3% of the employee contribution. As well as, match 50% of the next 2% of the employee contribution. (The company contribution/match maximum is 4%)
