Job Summary
The Millwork Carpenter will build, erect, install, and repair forms, structures, and other fixtures made from wood and other materials as needed to assist with a variety of construction projects.

Responsibilities
· Erects and dismantles scaffolding and staging.
· Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
· Cuts and shapes structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, cementitious products, drywall, and other trade materials.
· Uses various hand and power tools to properly and securely complete tasks.
· Joins materials with the most appropriate fasteners and adhesives.
· Ensures the accuracy of work by checking with appropriate tools of the trade.
· Install windows, doors, and hardware.
· Installs millwork and casework.
· Install exterior siding and trim.
· Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
· Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
· Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
· Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
· Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.
· Ability to work safely to OSHA and Company standards.
· Works well as part of a team.
· Ability to recognize the impact of work on occupied dwellings or neighbors to a project and plan work accordingly to minimize negative impacts.
· Ability to maintain organized workspaces that maximize efficient use of time, manpower, and materials.
· Ability to work in a clean and professional manner and maintain a high level of quality control in workmanship.
· Ability to work with other trades to coordinate seamless installation.
· Familiar with basic wood and material knowledge to understand and choose the appropriate and proper quality of materials.
· Ability to communicate professionally about tasks to problem solve or develop resolutions to installation concerns.
Education and Experience
· Successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program; OR at least three years of experience via on-the-job training required.
· Must have OSHA 10 Hr (30 Hr preferred).
Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
· Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
· Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
· Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
· Must have drivers license and own transportation.
