Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Branch Security in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, delivering outstanding customer service, and communicating clearly with clients and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the financial institution's premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and reporting any irregularities according to site protocols.
• Assist with access control measures, including checking identification and logging visitor information as required by site policies.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, following established communication protocols.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident and patrol reports, documenting observations and actions taken during the shift.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential risks and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
