HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel Outpatient Physical Therapist for a travel job in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Job Description & Requirements Title: Physical Therapist – Outpatient Orthopedics
Location: Kenosha, WI
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (two days 7:00–17:00, two days 7:00–18:00)
Provide one-on-one outpatient orthopedic physical therapy services.
\tPerform patient evaluations, reassessments, and discharges.
\tDevelop and implement individualized plans of care with measurable short- and long-term goals.
\tDeliver 60-minute evaluation and treatment sessions with no overlapping patients.
\tMaintain accurate and timely documentation for all patient encounters.
\tEducate patients and families on home exercise programs, medications, safety, and injury prevention.
\tUtilize clinic equipment and private treatment rooms in a gym-based outpatient setting.
\tManage a daily caseload of approximately 8–9 patients.
\tFloat within outpatient therapy locations as needed.
\tRequired Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience.
\tActive state physical therapy license (pending license acceptable prior to start).
\tBLS certification.
\tPrior charge or lead experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
\tStrong orthopedic assessment and treatment skills.
\tAbility to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
\tPreferred Skills and Experience:
Epic charting experience.
\tExperience with community-based outpatient clinics.
\tAdvanced orthopedic experience including:
\tPost-operative cervical, shoulder, and spinal care
\t\tSpinal mobilization and complex spinal conditions
\t\tTotal hip and knee replacements
\t\tTendinopathies, joint injuries, and arthritis management
\t\tFamiliarity with multiple payor types (Commercial, Medicare B, Medicaid, Workers' Compensation).
\tClinical Skills & Competencies:
Orthopedic assessment techniques (AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, pain assessment).
\tGait training and extremity mobilization.
\tSafe use of assistive devices (crutches, walkers, gait belt).
\tStrong time management and documentation skills.
\tPatient and family education, including recognition of abuse signs and symptoms.
\tWork Setting:
Outpatient orthopedic clinic
\t1:1 patient ratio
\tAdolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
\tPrivate treatment rooms surrounding a large gym space
