About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join their team. The CMO will be a key leader in the organization, responsible for the quality of clinical practice in all hospital departments, both inpatient and outpatient. This role requires a collaborative leader with a strong focus on promoting partnerships and communication across all professional levels. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering the highest quality of care and ensuring that all providers adhere to the necessary policies and procedures. A proven track record of achieving significant goals and building trust within provider teams is essential. The CMO will also serve as the primary liaison between the medical staff, administration, and the Board of Trustees.
Candidates for the CMO position at the company should have an MD or DO degree, with American Board Certification in their specialty. A master's level education in a related field is preferred. A minimum of 10 years in clinical practice, with at least 5 years in healthcare leadership, is required. Experience in a non-profit organization and a critical access hospital environment is also preferred. The CMO will be expected to devote a portion of their time to clinical practice in their specialty area and will have additional responsibilities, including serving as the Chair for the Department of Telemedicine and overseeing the proxy credentialing process. The role demands a leader who can effectively manage the medical staff, ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, and uphold the values and mission of the organization. Travel Percent
