Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM - 9:30 PM

*Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.00

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Dining Room Manager, a Busser, interacts with our residents and employees of Front Porch residential facilities, and ensures they have great experience when dining. Buser is responsible for positive guest interactions while serving in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, busser is expected to be attentive to our guests' needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. Busser is expected to have some basic food knowledge by performing the following duties.

Detailed responsibilities:
* Food Service Busser

  • Support servers by delivering water, bread, condiments, tableware, and other items as needed.
  • Clear, reset, and sanitize tables promptly and according to company service standards.
  • Set up a bus station with a cart, bus tubs, glass racks, and a bucket for liquid disposal.
  • Pick up dirty napkins and empty bussing tubs and bring dirty plates, silverware, and glassware to the dishwasher area.
  • Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.
  • Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by Dining Room Manager or Supervisor.
  • Communicate any resident concerns, mobility needs, or special requests to servers or Dining Manager or Supervisors immediately.
  • Support special events and theme dinners as scheduled.
  • Perform closing duties, including breakdown, restocking, and ensuring the dining rooms are left clean and organized for the next service.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of dining room service stations, beverage areas, and the overall dining environment. Assisting with special events as needed.
  • Assist with stocking side stations (tableware, napkins, glassware, etc.) to ensure readiness for service
  • Help servers run the food when busy from the kitchen to the main dining.
  • Follows the highest standards of cleanliness. Follows all federal, state, and corporate policies, health codes, and guidelines in preparation and handling of foodstuffs.
  • Performs all duties safely and efficiently, wears safety equipment as required for the job, and reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to Dining Room Manager or Supervisor.

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:

  • Some High School or GED

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:

  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred; senior-living or healthcare dining experience a plus.
