Position Overview
We are seeking an Entry-Level / Junior Estate Planning Attorney to join our Truckee office. This is a rare opportunity to learn directly under an experienced estate planning attorney in a collaborative environment. You will engage with real clients, draft foundational estate planning documents, and contribute meaningfully to building operational systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial client consultations and understand their estate planning goals.
• Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
• Support trust administration tasks: drafting inventory documents, assisting with filings, and coordinating with courts.
• Assist in probate filings and related administrative filings (e.g., small estate affidavits).
• Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and client intake workflows.
• Shadow and support attorney with client education, follow-ups, and document reviews.
• Occasionally handle legal research on California probate and estate law.
• Participate in occasional local client workshops or informational seminars.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Admitted to the California Bar, licensed and in good standing. 0–3 years of experience in estate planning, probate, or trusts (clerkships or coursework relevant).
• Strong drafting and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented with a client-focused mindset.
• Comfortable with document management tools, Westlaw or LexisNexis, and standard office software.
• Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to client education and process improvement.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $100,000 – $130,000/year, commensurate with experience and reflected market range for NorCal boutique firms and entry-level estate planning attorneys.

Bonus: Performance-based incentive (client satisfaction, SOP contributions, billable targets).
